Characters and differences

Significant differences between the book and the movie.

The first and half of the second iteration doesn’t appear in the first movie, they appear in the second movie “The Lost World”.

The cause of all the chaos in the movie was Dennis Nedry fault, and in the book it was also his fault, but mostly it was because scientists underestimated nature.

The age in the movie  of  both  Lex and Tim was very  different  than in  the book, in the book Tim was only  10 years old and Lex only had  7, in the other representation they  are much older.

Dr Ian Malcolm dies in the book, he is one of the main characters in all the of the movies.

The end of the book is more catastrophic and epic, Costa Rican authorities exploded the island, because of what John Hammond and all the scientists had done; creating an unstoppable nature force. In the movie the main characters flee from the island and the authorities leave the island alone.
